3 context sentences(design, population, supporting numbers)
A total of 5,119 subjects with T2D in the phase 3 SUSTAIN 1 through 5 and 7 trials, from 33 countries, were included in this post hoc analysis.
Subjects received subcutaneous semaglutide 0.5 or 1.0 mg, placebo or active comparator (sitagliptin 100 mg, exenatide extended release 2.0 mg, insulin glargine, dulaglutide 0.75 or 1.5 mg).
The main endpoint was a composite of ≥1.0% HbA1c reduction and ≥5.0% weight loss at end of treatment.
