Registry summary

Text and fields below are the sponsor's entries at ClinicalTrials.gov, shown as posted.

The goal of this proposal is to determine whether the beneficial effects of NMN on metabolic function observed in rodents applies to people.

Interventions

  • PlaceboOther
  • TreatmentDietary supplement

Arms2

  • Placebo comparator

    Placebo

At least 16 weeks of placebo.

  • Experimental

    NMN supplementation

At least 16 weeks of NMN.

Primary outcomes1

Outcomes the sponsor listed as primary.

  1. Change in Muscle Insulin Sensitivity

Time frame · After 16 weeks of treatment

    Registry description

The outcome (mean change in muscle sensitivity from baseline to after intervention) will be assessed during hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp procedure in conjunction with stable isotopic tracer infusion after intervention period.

Secondary outcomes(1)
  1. Changes in Glucose Tolerance

Time frame · After 16 weeks of treatment

    Registry description

The outcome (mean change in oral glucose tolerance from baseline to after intervention) will be assessed during modified oral glucose tolerance test after the intervention
