Source sentences
Oxytocin inhibited LH-stimulated androstenedione production, but had no effect on LH-stimulated progesterone production by cultured theca interna.
1 context sentence(design, population, supporting numbers)
To determine if oxytocin regulates LH-stimulated steroid production by bovine theca interna cells, theca cells were isolated from preovulatory follicles obtained before the LH surge and were cultured for 4 days in the presence or absence of LH (2 or 4 ng/ml), without or with graded doses of oxytocin (125-1000 ng/ml).
