Results from this study1

No result from this study comes from a test of the peptide.

Natural levels measured1

These results measure the body's own peptide. Nobody was given the peptide. They are not evidence about taking it. They are left out of key results, evidence counts and charts.

In sections of normal human thymus, thymic nurse cells expressed thymosin alpha‑1, together with epithelial markers and HLA-DR.

In plain wordsIn stained human thymus tissue, thymic nurse cells carried the body's own thymosin alpha‑1.

    Summary
TNC expressed epithelial markers [low and high molecular weight keratins identified by 35 beta H11 and 34 beta E12 monoclonal antibodies, a cortical antigen shared with neuroectodermal neoplasms recognized by the GE2 monoclonal antibody, and tissue polypeptide antigen (TPA:B1)], class II histocompat…

    Summary · context
In the present study we demonstrate TNC in immunohistochemically stained sections of human thymus as ring-shaped cells completely enclosing thymocytes and localized not only in the cortex, but also at the corticomedullary junction where they have not been previously described.

This result measures the body's own Thymosin alpha-1. Nobody was given the peptide. It is not evidence about taking it.
